Photographer’s note: A contrast of shapes and shades. Snow makes for magic. Even though the scenes are often monochromatic it makes up for it with shades, shapes, contrasts and textures. This is my woodpile blanketed with a layer of wet snow. Behind it tufts of the sticky wet stuff are lodged among the frail branches of a thicket. I thought the chaos of the upper half of the image, separated by a defining undulating layer, contrasted nicely with the orderly rounds of the logs.
