“In a series of seven images, the longest day glows orange as it slips gloriously into night. These images were taken on June 21, 2023, in Kensington Park, Vancouver. The location is the crest of a steep hill looking west toward the Gulf Islands. It was a perfect evening, too early in the season for the wildfire smoke that drifts in from the forests burning in the interior of the province. Even a flock of crows cooperated by appearing in the last two frames.”
