This poem is an excerpt from the author’s Journal, Jabberloon.

consider every act a gift
give it to yourself
lose yourself
find yourself
you will never lose
it

you have it right now
and cannot see it
it must be very magical
and powerful
it is
it is

I give it to you
not the trees
not the animals
they already have it

I give it to you
you have it
I do not give it to you
you have it

the trees have it
the animals have it
you have it

how could I give it to you?
you have it
you do not

I did not give it
to come back
and see what
you have or have not
done with it

there is nothing
to be done with it
I could not have even
given it to you
in the first place
you have it
you are it

you cannot have it
we cannot have it
we do

please do not
carry it away from here
if it is heavy
it is not it
you are carrying
so drop it
if it is not it
how can you drop it?

it is not it
you are dropping

if it is not heavy
why carry it?
where are you taking it?
you are already there
it does not go anywhere

so you worry
about not having it

so there is nothing
to worry about
if you do not have it

do not worry
about it
being there
it is there
now you
are something else

believe me
it does not
worry about you
it knows
you are
there

if someone
tells you they have it
do not listen
they are just saying that
to make you feel
stupid

are you stupid?
do you feel stupid?
how does it feel
to feel?

you are stupid

you are not it
until you are it
you are it
without being it
do not be it
you already are

stop looking
at yourself
yourself
yourself
yourself

you will get lost
be lost
and not
be it

do not stop looking
at yourself until
you see yourself
just remember
you will never
see yourself
by looking

how can I say
I have given it to
you
when
you do not feel
you have it?

so give it back

listen
I do not want it
and I will give it to you
if you want it

if you want it
you will have it
do you want it?
you are it
do you want it?
can you want it?
you are it
give it to yourself
you cannot

I want it back
you cannot have it
you cannot have it
because
I cannot give it
because
you already have it
so I want it back

do not expect
to gain
it

it is already
there

do not expect
to learn anything
you already know
you know
already

quit trying
to force your
self
squeeze
your
self
into
it

you already are
you ready?

you can look
at people
if you want
you can touch
if you want
you can say it
it can be said
you can do it
it can be done
you are you
you cannot fail at that
can you?

how can I forget it?
it is true
it is not something
to talk about
there is no one
to pay
how can you pay
yourself
be yourself
straighten
yourself
pick yourself up?

you know what
has to be done
you are doing it
how do you know
you know
what has to be done
and are doing it?
you know
that is why you are
doing it

ask yourself
permission
to do
everything you do
give it to yourself
until you realize
it has always been
you
you have been
giving it to
and you that has been
giving it

if you are happy
there is nothing to say
because you do not
want or need
to hear

if you are not happy
there is nothing to say
because you cannot
hear
and are not asking
for anything to be said

how do you know
you know
you are unhappy
and there is nothing
to say?

you know

I am
and you
are
but you
are not
until
you are
and you
think that someday
you will be

you are wrong
you are now
but you are not
until you are
and you think
someday you will
know yourself
but you cannot
know yourself
you cannot see your
self

and you think
someday it will happen
I will be me

but it will not someday
it is
now

I have always been me
but I have been so busy
being me
that I never
noticed me
then I noticed me
being me

so I tried
not to
try and be me
and just
be me
isn’t it ridiculous?
I certainly do not
want it
I stop
being
me

your dream
is for everyone
to love you
everyone loves you

your dream
is for everyone
to give you things
everyone gives you things

wake up
you are here

how could I possibly
love or give
you more than myself?

I am here
we are here
it is here

you can be sure of that
you can be sure of everything
can’t you?

everyone loves me
everyone wants me
here
I love everyone
I want everyone
here
I am here
where is everyone?

I can see
you are blind
do not be embarrassed
you are embarrassed
I have you
and you are embarrassed

I can see
you are blind
I am here

you are still arriving
you are just on time
you are here

we have been waiting
we have not been waiting
how can you wait for yourself?

you are already
here

now
I am here
now
I am there
when do I
arrive?
when does it
happen?
when am I
real?
when do I
live?

find yourself
in the here and now
and you will
be surprised
to find there
are no surprises
because you are here
and how can you
surprise
yourself?

running there
to experience
it

how do you know
it will
be there
when you are?

so you run faster
maybe you can catch it!

at what point
will you catch it?

when when when
run run run
think think think

only when
you are here
can you wonder
where you are
and be right

be here for me
but first
you have to
be here for you
but first
you have to be

do not be here
for me
do not
be here
for you
here
be

I can see
while you still look
I can be
while you still go
it is very important
I understand
the word
I

let us take
a good long look
at each other
touch each other
and smile
we are here

have some cold water
tastes good
doesn’t it?
that is right

you are perfectly right
you are perfectly right
here

have some more water
