Early Autumn Colours

68

One of my favourite sights in early autumn is to see the fields of goldenrods against the green foliage and the blue of the sky. Less showy than the reds, but every bit as delightful and eye catching.

[Editor’s Note: The first photo is this series is an overall look at the subject forested area. Photos 2-8 are examples of the photographic technique called Intentional Camera Movement.]

One good way to show off a subject is to look for subjects that are set against a deep shaded background and then expose for the lit areas.
The tree then stands out against the dark of forest:

Photography is too easy. Doing it well is another matter and a lifetime journey. A little humility, a lot of walking and hiking goes a long way to help. I am an amateur. I learned my skills mainly through a camera club and through reading. Hope to share my work and see the work of others.
