Untitled

[Oil on canvas. 60 x 80 cm. Artist’s Note: I titled this piece “Untitled” because I want each person who views it to have their own emotional response. In fact, that’s what happens to me. Every time I look at it, it reveals something new. Sometimes I see strong roots, other times I feel like I’m reaching for the sky, and occasionally it feels like I’m uncovering a hidden gem within myself. Overall, this piece reminds me of a Persian poet’s words:
هر چه تبر زدی مرا زخم نشد، جوانه شد , which translates to: “No matter how much you struck me with the axe, it didn’t become a wound; instead, it sprouted.”]
