I created this collage for an employee art show at a medical research institution. It plays on the idea of pH litmus tests for acids and bases, but the chromatic strips here, which classically range from red to blue in science, are made up of abstract shapes with color gradations, as well as images from Buddhist art, the Sistine Chapel, and  sections of prints by Durer. I added some pencil colorings as well. The title, with its nod to “acidity”, is a play on the title of Tom Wolfe’s book, “The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test.” My “signature” is a jest on how Durer used his initials on his prints when signing.
