I have led a big and rich life, travelling, teaching internationally, changing occupations, having 5 children in the hurly burly of it all. I’ve always been a social and political activist which sometimes exacted a high price. I’ve done things I’m proud of like rebuilding a school skills centre in Mozambique and obtaining the release from mandatory detention of 107 Iranians and permanent visas for some Afghanis. I’ve exhibited my paintings in Europe and Australia, sold some given away some. Moved 54 times, married twice, had cancer three times and now I’m ready to stop moving devote myself to writing painting and fishing and growing a garden with the love of my life. Oh I also published a novel, Oh Laxmi! and a book of short stories and poems, My Beautiful Apocalypse.
