I give a tight hug to myself
and kiss myself on the forehead.
I cry unstoppably
and then wipe my tears.
I don’t miss you.

I record words, “Everything is alright”
on my phone and listen to this
affirmation through the day.

I have prepared Manchow soup—
you used to love it.
