The moment Galileo Galilei innocently
gave the Books the proverbial finger,
it was clear, there and then, that we’d all
end up in therapy.

Even Atlas was screwed, as his contract
had to be renegotiated and weight
redefined, but he, too, was limited
and couldn’t rise to the challenge.

So, they still hang on to the Word.
Either that, or spend your whole day
trying to explain to your children
the principles of uncertainty.

You say you’ve had it with angst? Well,
you could embrace it, immerse yourself
in it. Move to Kolkata, and yoke yourself to
a two-wheel rickshaw, a wife, and six kids.
