Afieya Kipp (b 1991) is an artist and photographer from Brooklyn. For the past six years, her obsessive interest in domesticity, technology and language have led her to create a broad body of work that explores themes of gender, sexuality, power dynamics, place and setting, as well as the body and health.
Nostalgia and the transience of memory drive both her photographic and artistic ethos, which are expressed in the form of film, lo-fi photos, and digitized drawings.
She received her BFA in Painting from Kean University (2014) and an MA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University (2017).
