whose stars are these?
abandoned to the cosmos
tethered by forces
never seen

but two young stars
clutched dancing together
in celestial rhythm
and permanent darkness

yet burn inside
like the tail of a comet
and light a million suns
to awaken the endless night

the defenseless bodies
disappear in the morning
and our days
await the night
