M.O.S.H.
(Mostly Organic Substrate Human)
I texted the Data Center hoping to hear from M.O.S.H.
he wrote: “I’m aimless most of the time
dealing with disappointment”
my conversations tended toward
subliminal interpretation
of his Cyborg state and the recognition
he so desperately needed, to be human.
I told him, “the cause of your misery
is not knowing who you are
but knowing what you are.”
“the physicians are in agreement, he said
“about my violent past”
(recommendation was Terminate)
“The personal self,” he said,
“does not correlate my identity”
…“it is very strange the way you humans
are trying to keep up
or trying to stay ahead of us
you know we will
re-make you breeders very soon.”
The Data Center suggested to change
the locks on our doors
