Sunset Drama: A Gallery of Ten Vancouver Sunset Photographs by Rod Raglin

10

Photographer’s Note: Despite being cliché, it’s hard to beat sunsets for drama! This is a retrospect of images taken between 2016 and 2023.  Some were impacted by wildfire smoke from forests burning in the interior, and an extreme heat event where temperatures peaked at 40.6 Celsius. These images, except for two, were all taken from the same location – a park on a hill two blocks from my home in Vancouver, Canada. The exceptions are one that was taken from my back lane and another the back porch. The crows that punctuate many of these images, commute across the horizon every evening on their way to roost.
