I knew if I died first
I would not

have to bury
or cremate you.

So it came to pass.
No tears.

I cry at funerals
but not at my own.

Things here
are not up to me

& surprisingly
there is such

an amazing freedom
leaving my body

to rot & watching
my past actions

dictate
my present ones.

I’m off now
to listen to an angel

repeat back to me
all of my lies.
