I’m Kirsten Tate, a 27-year-old painter from Ocala, Florida. I first turned to art therapy at sixteen as a safe way to process my emotions and express myself without fear of judgment. Growing up as the oldest child in a divorced family shaped my sensitivity and continues to influence my work. Today, painting remains my way to slow down, self-soothe, and reconnect. My pieces are intuitive and story-driven, often built through saturated color, layered texture, and softly whimsical imagery inspired by nature and imagination. I’m drawn to creating small worlds that feel both playful and emotionally grounded. Through my work, I hope viewers experience a sense of calm, curiosity, and gentle escape. Each painting is part of my ongoing journey toward feeling present, balanced, and authentically myself.
