Open Arts Forum is an independent, ad-free online art community for visual artists, photographers, writers, and other creatives. Artists can share work with members, take part in cross-disciplinary conversations, and submit work for editorial consideration on the public OAF site.
An art community connected to an edited journal
OAF is both a community and a publication. The forum gives members a place to share work and discuss process; the public site presents selected art, photography, writing, music, and multimedia work to readers beyond the forum.
Explore visual art and photography
Browse Art & Photography, visit artist portfolios, or use the Authors & Artists directory to discover individual contributors and their work.
Share work and get thoughtful response
OAF’s member forum is designed for substantive exchange rather than a feed built around likes. Artists and photographers can discuss work, process, presentation, publishing, and the overlap between visual art and other forms.
Submit art or photography
There is no submission fee. Work is submitted through the members’ forum and may be considered by OAF editors for public publication. See the submission guidelines for the full process.
A broader creative community
OAF brings visual artists together with poets, fiction writers, essayists, musicians, and other creators. That cross-disciplinary mix is deliberate: the community is organized around serious creative work rather than a single medium.
