I stepped outside
my flat I named
the bunker
and there was
a woman
bestial
with insane eyes
surrounded
by the trash
of her own making
syringes
toilet paper
plastic bottles
and a tomato
“you really shouldn’t
be here”
I quietly intoned
“I’m five months pregnant!
You wouldn’t understand!”
She was right about that
